Château de Magnitot, France (by Philippe_28)
There is this juxtaposition for Americans of African descent that the world holds… they hold that we want all things urban and “new world” all the time. This is not true. There is a place in mind, I have lived since I was a child that looked like this. It was not set in America, it was set in France, in Italy in Greek. I longed for a simple, very simple life in which I smiled and there was just love, passion, discovery and seclusion…. sometimes a very mysterious loneliness that was unholy and tapped into the very depths of my soul… and all of that glorious play of humanity would be in a place like this… so beautiful.
